Thanks for the rundown of the set. Two points on Willie McTell. He was not a Delta blues artist. He is generally considered a Piedmont style guitarist. He may have been able to detect some light but was likely born blind.
Thanks for that great review Bea. I was in Alpharetta Friday night. First time I saw Dylan was in '78 and many times since. In the last few years, I hit Ashville, Athens and also Outlaw last year. Friday's show was one of the best. As mentioned, even the audience around me was in to the show and respectful.
Great review. A beautiful experience, so beautifully shared Bea – thanks to you (and to Ray for making it all happen). Looking forward to Friday’s show at Jones Beach and a couple of September shows in NJ.
Thanks for the comment on my BWM presentation at World of Bob Dylan. I saw the Outlaw set in Memphis last month. The BWM is a highlight. I'm heading to Paris for a show this fall. I think he'll likely go back to the Rough & Rowdy setlist - but BWM may find its way onto it!
"Hell you probably could’ve shot me in the back during the set and I’d’ve had no idea."
Best concert review I've ever read.

Saw your excellent presentation on Willie Mc Tell in Tulsa. I hope Bob keeps it in the setlist long enough for me to see it in Brussels!

Great point about the receptivity of a crowd like this - many of them not even here to see Bob. They don't have the expectations we Bobheads might.
That's a cool immersion into the lyrics of "To Ramona" and their meaning to you. I loved finally getting to hear it, at the Alpharetta show.
Also, enjoyed the song by your band in the link. The video has a 'Shadow Kingdom' vibe of which I think Dylan would approve.

this is my favorite review i've read this year!
