Great review Ray...did you record your talk at Ole Miss and if so, can you post it on your page? (or a written copy of it).

A great and insightful interview, Ray. I share a lot of your thoughts about the show. It was wonderful to see you again. Safe travels!

Ray, Thank you for building and enriching the Dylan community in so many ways. This sentence SANG to me:

"But it’s too slow

to do so

properly,

so the result is

scattered

and

awkward."

Enjoyed this! I love these smaller-market-cities Dylan is visiting on this leg. Amongst his peers, ain't no Rolling Stones (if they were touring again this year) or Neil or Van playing Jackson Mississippi in 2026. Nor Bowling Green, Spartanburg, La Crosse, Sioux Falls, Dayton, Dothan, Tyler, Muncie, Saginaw, Abilene ... freakin’ Waukegan, man. Nor Macon where I saw my show last week.

Not to mention newer big bands or pop artists of the day. Nobody's doing this, other than an indie bus tour band maybe.

By the way, the Macon show was also of course very white, but with some notable punctuation marks of diversity - an Af-Am man ahead of me in the front row (I was second row) brought his daughter, and I noticed more than a few other folks of color, but of course the main coloring is certainly pale like me.
