Such great commentary and coverage here from Erin (and throughout this leg of the tour from all of your correspondents – thank you Ray!) I saw shows in Saginaw and Detroit. Among so many other memorable moments, Nervous Breakdown was astonishing. Bob seemed literally reborn as the teenager standing on that Hibbing High stage at the keyboard and rocking out. Amazing energy, amazing vocals.
Another great review - thank you from someone living a long, long way away. Looking forward to the book as well - Dylan in the 80's - love that subject.
I'd been planning to see this final(?) date of the Rough & Rowdy tour ever since it was announced. Even arranged to buy a ticket from a kind fan, 3rd row no less. However my gal wanted to see Band of Horses here at KC's lovely old Uptown theater. So we went to that....
Thanks so much for this great review. I'll be hoping someone has caught & posts audio.
About the Rough & Rowdy album? The lengthy Murder Most Foul track dropped as I was in the middle of moving my brother & his sweet (now deceased, sadly) wife of 40+ years, the lovely & kind Vickie Mapes Williams. They'd lived in Chicago near the Brown line off of Kenzie street for a very long time. My difficult task of hauling all their stuff back to start life over was made SO much easier, with the release of Mister Dylan's incredible new album. What an amazing work.
I've lost count but I'm thinking that I've seen at least a dozen of these shows. Looking forward to a front row experience in Thackerville on July 2nd, plus some OKish seats on July 4th here in KC
Appreciate & support this great column by Ray Padgett & this wonderful community, & continue to hope our Bob keeps great health & happy performances for many years to come. Peace ya'll!!
Ray, you’ve lined up amazing writers to review concerts on the RARW tours and this one is so well written that it may be the best. Thanks very much to you both and keep on keeping on!
Great review! Love the callback to his high school show 🥲

A great close to this terrific series of reviews of this leg of the RAWR tour.
I must confess, i am much more enyoing the 1976 concerts, listening to different versions rather then listening to another 2026 concert...

Why Abiline? As Willie Sutton said about why he robbed banks, that's where the money is.
The promoter arranges venues, pays the artist to appear, and the artist honors the commitment. Nothing romantic about it.

A great bookend, or bookmark. Thank you, Erin and Ray.
