If he’s in town I’m going. The few people around me who have gone to his concerts with me in years past do not feel the same. Hope they have no regrets. I’ll see Dylan in Detroit next month. There was a long period in the 90’s I thought he wasn’t worth it but that was just dumb. Since ‘99 I’ve seen him as much as possible. If he’s up for it, I am too. I have dreams and fantasies of what he should play live, to say nothing about future albums. By now, we’ve learned you gotta let Bob be Bob. The last few times live I’ve thought this is probably the last one. Funny, here we go again!
I could have written this post! I'd seen him probably 60 times by the the early 90s. He came to SJSU a block from my house and I could barely sit through the show and then on top of that, it was hailed as the best show of the tour in ISIS magazine. I sat out a few shows and then saw him in 1995 (I think) at the Warfield and his fire was back and so was mine. I went on to see him a hundred or so times since. I'm never getting faked out again!
I’m excited and similarly hoping he discreetly drops a new album or Chronicles vol. 2 during the tour. Perhaps a thematically similar album, called “Rougher and Rowdier”? Who knows. I will be at the second show of this leg, in Sioux Falls, SD.
I’m excited! I saw Bob last year in Bangor Maine during the outlaw tour and he was fantastic. I hope he comes back to Maine for the RARW tour

Enjoyed the podcast. That’s our Bob always a mystery and either you love it or hate it. I seem to find it endearing and if changed it would be a huge disappointment.
That was a lot of fun to listen to. I think it captures- as often you do - the zeitgeist of us deep dive fans. The Rough & Rowdy debates reminds me of our complaints years ago on the pointless jamming of “Summer Days” each night. I’m just glad as we approach Bob’s 85th birthday that we’re debating new shows.
I can't imagine he'd need a financial motivation after selling his catalogue for $400M but I believe the RaRW songs were not included thus he owns full rights.
Unless he tours 'Straya again, I am unlikely to see him again! so the podcast ( and the soundboard tapes are very welcome ( and revealing!) . Kepp up the good work. Cheers
what a great achievment for old Bob, I am still blown away that an 80 year guy could have written and produced this masterful album...still blows my fekking mind and it is a killer headphone LP...the mixing, the playing...Blake Mills!

It's the year 2026, the world is going to hell, but I get to see Bob Dylan playing some of his best material live. I am excited.

I go to Dylan concerts just to check in on Bob, like seeing an old friend. Everything else is bonus. Love the audio, Ray, hope you do more.
